Laying on my side, he wrapped his arms around my waist from behind me. His skin felt so warm against mine. His scent engulfed me and suddenly I couldn't seem to take in enough air. It felt as though fire had filled my lungs and spread further through my chest and into my stomach.
He's the only one that can make me feel this way. His soft lips brushed lightly over my shoulder, slowly making his way up to my neck. His breath tingled my skin as his hands moved slowly up my side sending chills throughout my body. I let out a soft sigh and put my hand on his.

He began to withdraw.

I turned to get a glimpse of his face, but before I could he had faded away. It was then I realized I was dreaming.
Wake up, maybe he'll be there. Maybe it's more than just a dream. I told myself in vain, I knew the truth.
I could only dream of things like this.
Love was not made for me.
Finally, I had awakened. I sat straight up in bed. My eyes began to search for the stranger, but as I knew I would, I found nothing. I felt so cold as I wrapped my arms around myself.
Cold and alone, those were two feelings I knew I would always be able to have.
