Description
Working on a sheet for one of my species for planet Azriara; this is a sural (soo-rahl), the largest savanna carnivore on the east continent (still need to name it). This is a cub at 3 months old, I wanted to upload it separately because it will be rather small on the sheet.

Cubs are born with a mantle of blonde fur to help them blend in with the dry grass. The mantle will shed and they will begin growing coarse protective hairs on their neck. Their eyes will also gradually become a bright amber at six months old.

Animal inspirations: bears (grizzly and short faced), lions, cheetahs, hyenas, yellow mongooses, African water buffalo.
