'One man's trash is another man's treasure'.... Well, for these three, that how they make a living.
Yes, these three are picker!
No, not THAT kind of pickers. 
They go out and find old items from past decades that could potentially be worth value. Rusty Gold is the oldest, Calpurnia the middle child, and Junk Pile is the youngest. When their father, Scrap Metal, passed away, he passed down his antique dealing business down to his only daughter, Calpurnia. Now, Calpurnia sell items right out from Equestria's history while Rusty Gold and Junk Pile are always out looking for places that could potentially have items, following leads to items, and purchasing said items from their owners. 
Calpurnia and her brothers are friends with Applejack, whom they once picked for antiques and sold antiques to. Granny Smith also knew their late father, so their families have a close bond.
