One of my female Society Finches. Her name is Io.

Society Finches are a domesticated species, they do not, nor have they ever, existed in the wild. These birds love chicks so much, they will raise another bird's chicks or eggs. Sometimes, Society Finch chick siblings will even feed each other, or will feed younger chicks. A well bonded pair of males are more willing to adopt young chicks than are a pair of females or a male/female pair.
