European Starling. I love these birds, they are beautiful and smart. Some people own them as pets and say they amazing and loving birds who can learn to "talk" better than parrots. They can also mimic music and other sounds. I don't understand why people hate them, it's not their fault they were brought to the US against their will, it's not their fault they need to eat to survive when they eat everything at birdfeeders or in farm fields. And they aren't the only birds who will kill chicks or destroy eggs of other birds, Blue Jays and Woodpeckers do that too. So why are they hated? Because they displace other birds? What about all the animals that humans have displaced? Starlings are beautiful and fascinating birds that deserve love and respect.
