Description
My third charcoal drawing in college.
I used a picture of Victoria Silvstedt as a reference. She is very beautiful, and very photogenic, so I thought it would being easy to make an image in charcoal (easy was an understatement...) But it came out alright, at least that's what my instructor said...
This was done using the "Take-Away," technique. In which the canvas is first covered black with charcoal, then you use a kneaded eraser to make the highlights and mid-tones. The shadows are already on canvas.
This one took about 4 hours.
