something else I dug up in my back yard... inspired by a visit to a winery.. so I guess you could use it for wine
tech talk: wheel thrown B mix, carved and modified, ^6 electric/oxidation, glazes- crackle green, gold/black, weathered bronze; India ink rubbed over the crackle

Oh wow Lee!! This is by far my most favorite piece of yours. I love ancient cultures, & this screams ancient elegance. If it was in a museum, I'd totally steal it. Come to think of it, you probably shouldn't ever invite me over for coffee. Or wine.

I took a bunch of clay classes when I was in college and always wanted an "old-world" to my pieces... but I could never get it perfect. I think you just solved my problem haha. When I get a chance to go back to school, I'll try it out.

India ink works well- brush it on then wash it off (I didn't come up with it) ... Glad to pass on knowledge and techniques.
