Tip: Try using a larger difference in value and saturation to represent layers. That way you get more depth. Rule of thumb, further in the back, the more desaturated it is.

Tip: Try experimenting with gradients to give things depth. Ex. her tail. You can also use gradients to separate the wing without having to use linework, which detracts from the overall unity of the image. Try not to outline things with a style like this because it draws the eye harshly. The lines for the eyes, nose, and mouth are alright because they are small shapes. Gradients on the cloud can give it depth as well, but less is more in this regard. Give it a shot and see if you like it or not.
