Apophysis 2.06c | FastStone Image Viewer for JPEG conversion and signatureSo, I've decided that instead of banishing test/dud renders to various folders on my hard drive, I will instead combine multiple (somewhat good) renders into single works.
This is (of course) from the same flame as Escher's Dream .

I did the same thing with a recent series of flames and from what I saw in mine, I can apply here. I really do like seeing the slight differences between each flame, although I have to say neither is particularly amazing. The texture on the one to the left is more mechanical and almost has a musical feel to it, e.g. piano keys.

Both equally impressive technically, but I think the right-hand one has the aesthetic edge for me.

It is very odd seeing the 2 together, I keep looking back and forth and seeing the strengths of both. In the end it works well because you can appreciate both better because you can look at them at the same time.
