Description
When I was a little girl, I would get angry when I had to go to bed before the sun went down in the summer. Drifting off to sleep, I would dream of a winged creature that would carry me into the sky and absorb the last rays of the day until his wings would glow through the night. We had fantastic adventures, but I always ended up falling asleep ( in my dreams) before we could finish them, at which point he would take me home and tuck me back in my bed. It is a silly name but GG is the kind of stuff a 6 year old girl's dreams are made of. And let's face it....dreams don't always make sense. 
Not my usual subject matter to do something so happy and cheerful....but he did have a dark side. He hated clowns as much, if not more than I did. Sorry about the not-so-great picture, but I will update with a better one later.
Mixed media: Mostly acrylic paints and the rest acrylic inks, and pigmented inks.

GG was my bestest friend ever! I am so happy you like it! The bright colors is how I remember those dreams too. I wonder where those childhood dreams go?

It is funny, but as I got older, in my dreams he was replaced by this huge canvas bag I kept in the attic. It contained a fold up ultralight airplane. Instead of GG, I would fly it to different places and adventures. I think it was still my GG but we grow older and are taught to be "mature". I would love to dream like a kid again.

What a fun story to go with a fun-looking character! The light on the wings is exquisite, it makes me feel like taking a deep breath (sorry if that doesn't make sense, I guess I could say it's a refreshing feeling). I also love all the various colors in the clouds!

I put a lot of love into this guy. He was a big part of my dreamscape as a kid. What I did here was try to combine two things I love....painting and ink! I am pleased with the result and hope to do more this way, as it gives it a "glazed" look. I was a bit nervous about all the color, but that is how I remember GG

I am okay for now. I can see again, so I've been in a MUCH better mood lately. Get this: I gots NEW inspiration to draw now. I'm gonna make my own story! I have already began designing characters!! And because I still want to do stuff on YouTube, I am gonna devote myself to that too! I'm really REALLY hoping to make 2015 a year of remarkable changes for me. D:

The mixed techniques has done a magneficent and fabulous artwork. Your work on the sky and the clouds is amazing and full of harmonious colors. I like also the details you have done on the creature but also the warm colors you choose which reminds of the sunset.

I remember laying in my bed, fuming because it just didn't seem right to be sleeping when the sun was still out.
I decided to try mixing my two favorite things....Acrylic paint and ink. I think it worked out ok, and will experiment with the combo a bit more. Your back feeling better now?

I hated it because I never felt like sleeping, and couldn't because it was too light outside still. I would always get my drawing pad and draw, or colour lol...but yeah, sometimes I would sneak out of bed too, and creep to the top of the stairs and see what was going on downstairs lol...aren't we sneaky

Ah, it's doing much better thanks Carol...I have a bulging disc in my lower back that's been causing problems of late, but a few days rest and it's better YAY!
