I've had this written up for a while and had a lot of trouble picking out an image. I really don't like re-submitting images, but I figured if this is for a profile it kiiind of doesn't count? Or something? XD Anyway, my favourite costume of 2009, and just about my favourite photo....OF ALL TIME. Original upload is here .

Also! It's finally something to show off the epic staff that I made for Maya. That thing's about 2.5m long and needs to be transported in three parts...it's, actually a bit insane XD; Also, like my username, Maya's wing makes absolutely no sense...so I suppose that ties in somewhere?

What was your first cosplay? Silent Hill Nurse (knife) – Silent Hill II and III
How did you get into cosplay?
It’s a bit funny because cosplay’s one of those things I can’t really remember ‘discovering’ or finding out about…it just sort of happened – and we’ve been lovers/haters ever since.
Do you prefer cosplaying male or female characters? Feeeemaaale. Minds would break, crumble, die, melt and implode if I ever did a guy. XD
How many cosplays have you done? Oh my…After a recent binge, I think I’m up to 20 costumes, and 2 ½ doll costumes.
What are your favourite cosplays that you've done? Doll – Kuroshitsuji, Maya – Magna Carta: Tears of Blood and Freya Crescent – Final Fantasy IX.
Are you part of a cosplay group? If so, tell me about your group. and I team up on occasion to make East Meets West. We are fags for life. XD
What do you prefer to do, make or buy your costumes? Make. Always make. Half the fun is seeing how much sleep, food, and light deprivation your body can take! 8D
How much time do you usually spend making a costume? It spans from 4 months to a day or two (for simple photoshoot costumes). But generally, around 4-6 weeks seems to be average for con costumes…which I should probably work on resolving. OTL
What is your dream cosplay? Err, I don’t really have ‘dream costumes’ per se, but I’m really looking forward to doing some epic awesome things: Gwendolyn – Odin Sphere, Ladrinne – Magna Carta: Tears of Blood, Amaterasu - Five Star Stories, Miku and Luka – VOCALOID – just off the top of my head…there are about a million others calling out to me as well. D8
Which conventions do you usually attend? All Melbourne cons + Syd Main Animania and AVCon – hoping to expand that to Brisbane and Perth this year, though!
Your most memorable cosplay experience? The entire week end of Madman’s National Cosplay Competition this…err, last year. I met and re-connected with so many amazing and wonderful people, and it was just such an awesome learning experience and chance to prove things to myself. I had such a mind-blowingly amazing time and I definitely look back on it with a lot of fond memories – it’ll be a really hard experience to beat!
