Description
I put my hair up into a bun and placed my dark red dress over my head. The dress fell down to my ankles and trailed behind me as I went to the window. He probably wouldn't come anyways I thought as I turned to stare at the clock.

The doorbell rang. I got up and went to answer the door, my heart felt like it was about to jump out of my chest. Was this it...? No.

" Hi Cream..." I said slowly.

"Hi Amy! You look amazing, are you going somewhere nice?" Cream said.

"Umm.. I don't think so" I replied.

" I just came to check why you didn't come and help with the garden today" She said.

" I'll be there tomorrow Cream" I promised.

" Ok bye Amy" She said.

I shut the door and sighed. The green chaos emerald was still on the table, I picked it up in my hand and sat down. A tear fell from my eye, maybe it really was time to give up.

" Whats up Ames? Why are you crying?"

I looked up. Sonic stood there with a troubled look on his face, he passed me a tissue.

" Didn't you think I was coming?" He said.

I sat there in shock. " Sonic how did you get in?" I asked.

He pointed to the window and laughed. " Well you don't mind do you".

I got up and hugged Sonic "No I don't mind at all" I replied.

"Shall we?" he asked as he stretched his hand out towards me.

I took his hand as we went out the front door. He seemed quieter than usual, as we began to walk down the street.

"Are you ok?" I asked.

"Yeah.. It's just that you look so different" he replied.

"In a good way?" I asked.

" Yeah. You look amazing" he said while looking the other way to avoid eye contact.

I looked ahead and said " Hey isn't that it?" I asked.

" Yep that's it.." He replied.

We soon came up to the entrance. The doors were made of spotless glass and the edges were lined with sequins of gold. I stared at Sonic, the only word I could let out was "Wow"..

Sonic laughed and said "Come on". He lead me through the doors and into the lift. The lift was the size of a small bedroom and we hadn't even seen our hotel room yet.

"Hey Amy... I've been meaning to tell you something for a while now but I keep putting it off. I don't want to be your friend anymore Amy" he said quietly.

"What do you mean Sonic?" I said softly.

"Will you be my girlfriend Ames?" He asked.

The lift door opened, I stood there unable to say anything. Speechless.

"Amy... Say something" Sonic said.

I ran towards him and practically knocked him over. He laughed and said " I'll take that as a yes then".
