From the many Baals ther are, this is in my opinion Bal-se-bub, the Master of the Flies. The Baal of the picture seems to be drunken, careless, reckless.His crown is demolished, the dots on them, could they have some thing to do with the flies?
It is a wonderful picture, one you could call a masterpiece.

It was just a sudden inspiration to draw Baal. I wanted to portray him as a hot-tempered young man, easy to get angry and jump into a fight. The crown is something he must keep on his head, as a duty, that's why he doesn't care if it's broken during fighting as long as it still be there.
But you got me an idea, I'll try Beelzebub next time
