Well, doing an RP is like writing a story, only you're doing it with another person. The way I usually do them is me controlling my set of characters, and the other person controlling another set. In this case I'm using my characters from my Vulpyre Tales project, and crossing it with Steven Universe, which you would be in charge of for this.
