A lot of the artwork of red-crowned cranes focuses on still poses, calmness, etc. By using a dramatic action pose, not to mention the diagonal perspective, you created a very novel, eye-catching piece. Even in motion they have a sense of peace about them - but the action in the scene is so vivid and realistic. It's painterly and not in any way like a photo - but has the immediacy of a photo. I love it!
