Chrysalis is one of my favorite villains, she's so positively wretched.I don't think I did much justice here, but the idea was neat. There are some flaws in the design but whats done is done. I like the overall outcome well enough.

I really like that you drew here half in her normal form, and half, well... whatever that would be called! (Ghosty is what came to mind... *ahem* 'scuse me..!)
I think you did her justice! Whilst she isn't my fave villain, I did love her - and the one song she sang (w/ Cadence, so to say) was really moving. She was a very neat villain, and her design is simply made of awesome! Seriously, what's scarier than a nightmare horse? One with sharp teeth! (Actually, this is just me - I find it beyond creepy to think of a horse or pony with freaking fangs!) And, of course, all the 'holes', jagged horn... and her way cool hairdo (or is that "mane-do"?), awesome character.

Heh, ghostly works. It was just some jagged design I had in mind. Actually, When I started, it was more of a jagged flame design that would encompass her, but the image would be WAY too large that way so, I found an alternate design in a pinch. Not bad, if I may toot my own horn. And even if I may not! XD
Yeah, she's a badass villain when you cut it all down. She tricked an entire royal city, kidnapped a princess and left her to die, beat up Celestia and was going to feed her army with the life force of a nation. Thats pretty bad! XD
Glad you like it, I think I may work on a different piece. This one turned out nice, but I'm not too fond of some of it. Then again, maybe I'll just get lazy and not do anything at all, who knows! XD

And yah, Chrysalis is awesome. I'd say she's the best villain of the show by far personally. Nightmare Moon... wasn't so much a villain. Discord was enjoyable, but more of a trickster. King Sombra had the potential to be cool and scary, but personally he was boring as hell to me. Chrysalis? She's the leader of an entire evil race, managed to trick virtually the entire cast into nearly granting her victory... plus, she managed to get away with being a SUCCUBUS on a KIDS SHOW. THAT is awesome.

Discord... well... I should say John DeLancie is the number one fan fav villain. Chrysalis comes in second place in the big pols over at EQD by an impressive 2,000 votes. But... everyone is still like 20,000 votes behind Discord! Thats pretty insane.
Doesn't matter, Chrysalis is my fav, and all those awesome reasons you posted there? Thats why.

Oh yeah, the voice actor is definitely a big part of it... but Discord doesn't really feel PURE EVIL in the way others, particularly Chrysalis, might. And personally, if you're going for the best villain, that's what I'd want to find.
And well, Sombra... pretty much all he did was glare menacingly and snarl, and didn't even come close to winning anything. For an evil overlord, he almost comes off more like a kid that never got his way.

I gotta agree completely on that point. If you're gonna be best villain, you need to be BEST VILLAIN. Discord is dastardly and all, but evil? Nah. I agree there too.

She's my favorite villain from the series. I love everything about her design and character attitude.
I wish the design had turned out a bit different, but it didn't work out any other way I tried it so... I'm glad it turned out pretty damn cool anyways!

True. G1 was unbearable, G2 was unbearable girly, no one even thinks about G3, and the latest iteration is loved by a few hundred thousands, and given recognition in a lot of ways I never would have guessed. Psychology for example. NEAT!

Actually, Its all sketched out. I FINALLY got a sketch I was happy with. But its sketched. Its all about coloring and junk now.
