Great news! I've arted again!
I've been wanting to do a winter piece, but since I'm lazy, it took a contest (estories.deviantart.com/journa… to make me do it. And do it I did. I did it.

There was no specific mention in the rules of which particular ponies could and could not be used, so of course, I opted for my own OC's over my favorite ponies from the show.

Though White Lightning and Rocket Grace don't know each other, and in my own head-fantasies, are completely unaware of each others existence, I thought I'd throw them both in there. And look! It made for a great shot!
Plus, I got to play with pony fashion just a bit, and show a side-by-side contrast of their personalities (and style) in motion.

I also think I've finally worked out Lightning's mane, this is good. As per usual, the BG work is highly eclectic, using a number of pieces from a number of BG's, plus my own vector and paint work.

So, contest has been entered, winter art has been done, win/win! Enjoy!

The day was a bit louder than usual today, the normal sounds of hustle and bustle were seemingly drowned out by the sounds of ponies young and old laughing and playing. And what better reason than a snow day? The ground being covered in a thick, powdery layer, the cold, brisk breeze accompanied by lightly falling snow, and the sun peeking out just often enough that warmth can be felt on your face as you trot across the covered ground.

Everywhere ponies could be seen, each of them bundled up in their fashion that matched the weather, running and playing, throwing snow balls at one another, or even just sitting and watching others build snowponies.

Today was truly a perfect day to be out and away from the daily grind.
