Floatyfish are a giant family of aquatic creatures that are stuck on the seafloor, the ones displayed here are just a fraction of all the species that there are. All Floatyfish have a hollow body with all of their intestines being places in the head of the Floatyfish. This large hollow body is filled with a gas. The Floatyfish is very buoyant because of this. They are blind, the eyes are for scaring off predators. They grow on the seafloor where they stay for most of their lives. They only let go of the seafloor when mating season arrives, then they all let go at the same time, covering the entire ocean with a blanket of Floatyfish. They release the eggs and sperm whilst in the sky. They are sometimes sold on fun-fairs as a prize for children.

Oh now these are so cool! Kind of like a mix between jelly fish and coral huh? Would love to see one for real...So they actually float out of water and take to the air? I wonder if the cultures that grow in the areas of these creatures celebrate their mating season...If its like a special time of year...So what happens after they spread their seed? do they pass on or return to the depths to continue their life cycle (if they were captured for the fair)

They immediatly die after releasing the sperm and eggs Maybe I will something like a holiday or ritual based around the mating season of the Floatyfish, that would be awesome You need to dive for them, because if you catch one while in the air, it probably has already releaded the eggs. It will day before you are at the fair :*(

When you buy it in a fun fair how long do they live? Could you keep one as a pet or would it die in captivity? Also, these guys are literal balloon animals. I guess regular pufferfishes are that anyway.

They would probably stay alive for a day and a half, you would not have a lot of fun with one

Only 1.5 days? Outrageous! How much do those funfair hacks charge for these?

I know those games. You can't win them. They're rigged.

Yes, yes it is! And even worse, they are still alive! If you kill them, they won't float :3 You could dry one and hang it on a wall but.......meh.
