Description
As punishment for missing my deadline, my sister ~Atlanta-Lemento requested I draw upcoming Magma boss Maxie in the style of Peacemaker kurogane's version of Ito Kashitarou . Hello in-joke! Largely because both Ito and Maxie utilize that odd Fufufu laughter. Also Ito has lovely eyes.I really do wish Team Magma (and Aqua, for that matter) turned up sooner. Although I daresay Maxie's personality will change a little because of this silly request. But his goals remain the same.
I will do one or two more penances, but hopefully next up will be the next two pages of Child's Game! See you then!

I had a bit of fun experimenting with texturing, so I learnt a lot. And if Maxie can still look creepy amidst a sea of pink, I'm doing something right, so, thank you!

The comics you linked are really wierdly translated, It's so funny, Ito hitting on Hijikata is even more obvious

Woah I didn't see that, I guess it's probably a more direct translation? "There are so many mature and handsome men among you~" wtf. I do like Hijikata saying "I will say Thank you, this is the first time I have *impressed* a man" though, it just sounds more awkward haha. Also Yamanami excusing Hijikata's awkwardness by saying "Oh he just doesn't know how to talk to people" haha.

I just made it more loose I guess, it wasn't too hard.
I basically wanted to draw the Mighteyena with the same style and character as Maxie, so it has similar eyes. Glad you like it!

Yeah everyone is a lot more blunt and some things are really wierdly put (Suzu calls one of the cat thing Brain, and Hikagami knee bent or something like that 
Yeah that bit is so funny, although the real translation is better I think. Ito's probably my second favorite character now (suzu being first) He's super funny and extremly creepy. Wish someone would hurry up and translate the latest PMK book so I can see what he's saying :/

Yeah, the official translation is a bit more believable, but it is funny to read this (and it goes without saying that I'd still love to read any kind of translation to volume 6). Wtf "Brain" and "Knee Bent" lol they must have had weird parents to have names like that!
He's one of those characters that is awesome in hindsight. Like when I first read about him he was kinda creepy and a little funny but not much, but once he bites the dust you really realise what a hilarious character essentially he is. Especially since most of the later volumes of PMK have no jokes at all and lots of blood and manly tears.
Me too, it takes so long to get to them, though. D:< Ahh, now that is a perplexing mysterwy! That would be cool, you originally had your character be called Suzu anyway, didn't you? Ohoho yess there will be much fun to be had with those two, and the rest of the run~

Yeah (although in some of the earlier volumes there's some pretty confusing stuff. Although the earlier volumes were veery confusing! Hopefully getting the first volume will make it a bit more understandable) Yeah the names must be the direct translations. Cruel, cruel parents.

I guess so, I can understand a fair bit of it since I was obsessed with the series way back when, but I'm sure volume 1 will explain a fair bit. Like the laws and the characters- especially Souji's dual personality. Very cruel parents indeed, especially if a Cinderella Confidential quote is needed to describe them!
Anyone that can make Hijikata sweat in a bad way is always cool in my books. Me too, I always like "evil" characters. And yeah, his death was pretty lame, but I think the real Ito was assassinated by the Shinsengumi (partially, he apparently fled and committed Seppuku to finish the job honorably), so at least he lasted longer than there. But yeah, after such a long build up portraying him as a major evil character it was a shame that he just gets cut down randomly.
It's really weird how the guy has white hair, some people think it's a hat? It's a weird as hat, in any case.

Really? Well I can't imagine him fighting and risking his life(although apparantly he's a master swordsman) so I can imagine that happening. Nanae chrono doesn't seem to mind changing what happened in history. Worrying D:. Yeah his build up as the major villian (plus suzu) was too big for his rather 2 page death. I still don't really understand what his motives were!

Well I know some of the historical background to it, so that does help a bit. It's very weird to see the first comic, everyone's personalities are a lot more one-dimensional and the style certainly is a lot more derpified. And Souji is practically surgically attached to Hijikata during most of it, except when he's oozing all over Kondo.
Haha yes, usually we don't get to see Hijikata be much more than grumpy or angry or serious (except when he's concerned for Souji etc), so it was funny to see him be all D: D: D: XD Omg so true, Megatron is completely awful. Evil characters whose only personality is "evil" are still very boring...
Hm, true, we never got to see Ito actually doing proper swordsman-ey stuff, just derping around being sneaky and hitting on Hijikata + many others. That's very true! I'm going to just imagine that Nanae Chrono just got sick of having to rush out Volume 6 after 5 or 6 years (or having to draw Ito raepfacing at Hijikata all the time), so she just went "ugh let's have him die quickly and then cut to another scene right away". His motives weren't really well defined either. Take over the Shinsengumi and have them... protect the emperor... or something? By murdering a lot of them? And keeping Hijikata on a leash, preferably naked?
But the player character is super special because they're the hero and are on the left side of the battle screen!
That's true too, we have Wally who has green hair! A hairlike hat would be pretty funny too.

Agreed! I think nanae chrono wasn't really serious when she made her first book, but after publishing it really worked hard on what she was going to do with the rest of the series. Souji is so funny XD he's great in the anime

"Back in the day", when I got Pokemon Ruby for the first time, I thought Maxie was Silver "all grown up". So I guess that was pretty appropriate!
