This meme brought back a lot of sweet and bitter memories.I would've put in art samples as early as 1996. But somebody just didn't care and deliberately lost all of my childhood sketchbooks that were filled with Yu Yu Hakusho, Rurouni Kenshin, Dragon Ball, Ranma and X/1999 sketches. Those were the very foundations of my art style.
Oh well, enough crying over spilled milk.
I noticed that there's a pattern to my art style that is quite common to artists. From being absolutely plain to painstakingly detailed to simply minimalist. I guess being so detailed has a certain time period.
From ballpens to photoshop. Man, I missed those days when I only use a tikky mechanical pencil and random ballpoint pens to finish a 100+ or 200+ graphic novel I made during summer vacation.^^
Now, it's 2 people lotsa photoshop and extreme planning. Which will take I don't know how long.
But the foundation is strong.^^ Wow. I'm quite amazed.
It's a good 12 years. Man, I'm old.

It was actually a spin-off of one of our aborted series (what a pity).
