nice color scheme on it.. i might make a modeling project of it and also the left bird commemorating the 90 years of RAF is a good specimen too...

Yep, it is the standard jet trainer for the RAF, used by the Red Arrows team, and is also an export ground attack aircraft...

India, wasn't it?

It's a versatile thing, from what I've heard. Basically a trainer, you can attach all kind of goodies on it (even sidewinders, if I recall correctly) when war's headed your way. Smart!

Yeah, and all kinds of scandals etc... which kind of makes me laugh, because at the end of the day they are actually arms dealers after all...

I did a search on BAE Systems once (to get a hold of their logo) and there was some ppl crying about the diplomatic efforts -- more specifically, the budget spent -- by the UK government to get these things sold abroad.
Yup. Have to conclude they are just arms dealers.

Yes, these things are always two-sided and sometimes two-faced - On one side it is good to export and improve the country's finances, but if you have to bribe people to get the order, then there is a corruption issue... plus a lot of people just protest against the whole principle of arms sales anyway...
