When I first tried to make it, it looked like a pig! I wasn't very surprised because I have never made a dog-like animal before, but after some tweaking it looked like what it was intended to be...an adorable red fox! Painting this thing was a pain, but it's so cute it was worth it.You can buy this on my Etsy ! There are also more pictures of the fox from different angles. Sold out

Foxes are one of my favorites ever! I still need to try and sculpt one of my own. A friend on here asked me to do a fennec and I'm so scared of messing up that I just haven't made one yet :/

I had never made a fox either or really anything that wasn't a reptile! It was kind of hard, but looking at pictures online and asking my family how it looked and what it needed fixed really helped.
If I made a fennec fox, I'd probably make the ears going back against its head a little bit because they are so large. To make ears I take a piece of clay, pinch it into the correct shape, then mold it around something rounded like wooden nail care sticks so it is rounded out like a real ear. To make the head of my fox I started with a sphere and pinched the front of the face for the snout and the sides of the head for the fur that comes out there. Fennec foxes have rounded heads though, so you probably don't need to pinch the sides of the head.
I'm sure you could do it! Even if you don't get it right the first time, you can always try again and again until it looks right.

Sounds fun! I can't wait to have a place to sculpt without chaos! My house is undergoing remodeling and if I sculpt, dust and stuff will get over everything
