Description
Mass Effect 2's master assassin, Mr. Thane Krios.I wanted to do this quickly, but it took all day. Too many details in his face. He's my favourite friend in the game, but remind me never to draw him ever again.

Terrific work. I lvoe the ME characters and designs... to a point. Drawing them is concentrated torture to the wrist.

Yes, the designs of the ME characters are great, and all really hard to draw. All that futuristic armor is a chore. Lots of little details, and if you leave them out, the picture just looks wrong. I have seen some people manage to do great cartoonish versions that are not as detailed, but I can't seem to do it well.

I know, sometimes when parts of the design are left out, it really irks me. The DC comics ME2 Tali figure was the worst in this regard. All those awesome little spirals on her hood and hexagons across the envirosuit? Nowhere to be seen. - [link]
I'm pretty tempted to buy Square-Enix's playarts figure, - [link] on the sole basis that they got the details right.

Yeah. Not to mention a lot more expensive. I think the US price is 60 dollars. But I'd pay that much for the work put into it. (Plus you get 2 weapons per figure and 2 sets of hands, for holding each weapon) They're releasing ME3 figures for Male-Shepard (With Omni-Blade, N7 Eagle pistol and N7 Valkyrie Assault Rifle
Female Shepard (with Omni-Blade, N7 Hurricane SMG and N7 Valliant Sniper Rifle)
Garrus (With Vindicator Battle Rifle and Incisor Sniper Rifle)
Tali (With Scimitar Assault Shotgun and M-5 Phalanx Pistol)
Ashley (With M-8 Avenger Rifle and Katana Shotgun)
It kinda puzzles me that the Tali figure is in her ME2 outfit. I mean yes, she wears the same suit in ME3, but she also gets 2 alternate varients specifically for ME3. I guess the default one is sort of.. iconic of the character though.

I just checked some of those out. They look pretty nice. Garrus and Ashely look good, the 2 Shepards are probably the worst of the bunch.
They don't have any of my favourite characters. I liked Krios, and Mordin...and I would pay a small fortune if they made a Niftu Cal...he is a biotic god!
I am surprised they don't make Liara. Liara seems to be the creators favorite character, they kind of force her on you in the games. Personally I can't stand Liara. Actually, I don't like many Asari. Aria and Liara being the worst. Samara was the only one I liked (oh and the Matriarch Bartender was cool too).

The worst? I actually liked the female shepard. Maybe just because of the guns. The Valliant is by far my favourite sniper rifle.
They made a Mordin figure, but sadly it was by DC, so it's not that great.
They did make a Liara Statue: [link] you'll never believe what happened... when they showed the original model, fans bitched about her breasts being too big. I wish I were kidding here... they had to cancel all orders, take it off the market, modify the sculpt to "Fix" it, then start selling it again.
I liked Liara once. She was likeable in ME1 and in the Shadow Broker DLC. But in ME3... she's just so monotone and kind of creepy. The games don't force her onto you that much, not like they did with some of the ME2 squadmates where you can even end up ACCIDENTALLY getting into a romance. That was just wierd.
(The Matriarch bartender was named Matriarch Aethyta by the way. Fun fact, she's voiced by Claudia Black, who you may know better as Dragon Age Origin's Morrigan.)

The Shepard, faces don't look right. I think they were going for the default look. It doesn't quite get there. The armor and guns are nice.

i got soo sad when Krios passed after helping me save the councilor, love the painting. loved that i was allowed to read from their religious book and be there for him when he passed (even though the prayer was meant for me)
