Apparently my town was a huge battleground during the Revolutionary War and is haunted by the soldiers who where killed here... Explains the cemetery in the middle of my town.

this is quite intriguing. Many places of major deaths tend to have the most activity..like cemeteries, old battlefields(as in your case), etc. etc.
