I need to go back playing with it more often again. Now that I've finished my brainwashing and time consuming dissertation I want to go back to the geometrical comfortable shapes of FE.
And no, v2.03 beta is, I think, one year older than the official 2.02, but I can't say for sure. It have some nasty bugs on my computer but it is workable and it seems to be able to render in a better view.

great that you have finished your Dissertation, big congratulations, organic chemistry can't have been an easy one!!! My wife is just about to start her dissertation after christmas and i don't envy her.. i finished mine 19 years ago and am very glad not top have to return to it...
It is great that you can now easily add all the apo gradients to FE and your own and last time I played with it I realised you can merge other images as well which is fun... It would be nice if it was re-released in an updated format as it is a lovely way to investigate fractals...i think there is a phone app for it now!?

~Thank you. I do not find it too hard when I'm in the middle of it, but other people seem to think as a big gorgon of some kind. I do understand it isn't easy for the outsiders. It isn't easy for me as well sometimes. But the wonders of chemistry is that many times its a kind of magic that happens. We are still very far of understanding and controlling chemical reactions as people sometimes seem to think. That is what I assign for: mystery (and frustration, LOL)
I'm glad I will not return to my dissertation either! it took long enough to reach it and it took long enough to finish. It's over, thank goodness! But good luck to your wife. She will be very proud of herself in the end, I'm sure.

I never tried to upload apo gradients in FE. Maybe I will try sometime. I may be surprised with some play of colours I can't get usually manually playing in the program. But the merging I've already used and I'm not a big fan. It lacks control, and the images don't blend as well as I wish they could. So I prefer using Photoshop in the few ones I ever merged.

A phone app? If FE main program doesn't have actualization in years how can it be a phone app? Maybe some other creator used the same name... but I've already use enough on my cell phone so the battery lasts a day. XD

Yes I loved the majick of chemistry at school but I ended up working in biology instead, my brother in law has taught chemistry for 25 years and loves it.

I think you will find using the apo gradients very useful and I quite agree about the merging in FE, not the best quality but I don't ever really use paintshop (although I recently got GIMP)

Yes it is a phone app [link] for android and I think there are a few other phone fractal apps.. and yes i am sure they kill your battery

Have a nice weekend

Thanks for the link! When my 'droid come back from fixing I will give it a try. Call me fractaholic. It is close enough.
Have a great weekend!
