You have to wonder if the Riku Replica was a child when he was first created, or if he was just kind of there at the right age. Either way, I like to imagine how Vexen would behave as a father figure towards the little guy...
...Vexen doesn't strike me as much of the paternal type either.
I still think the image is cute though.

Oh yes, no one enjoys it while it's happening, but I'm sure Vexen was smiling once he cleaned up his lab.

There's a lot of people from the school of thought that follows Vexen as the good father type. When I realised how popular it was I was pleasantly surprised.

I think lots of things make Vexen smile a long time after they happen. It's probably his most cherished memory now...
