Butterfly's Sonata: First Movement - No silver bullet

The first part of the Butterfly's Sonata story that I hope to finalize by summer time (yeah... I revamped it once again). Out of the four parts, this is the most action-heavy.

Synopsis:
Benjamin Hayward was a regular homeless man who transformed into a reluctant hero, rather, a target when he was tossed into Perdition, a city thought to be an urban legend; a city that runs on murder, violence and fear. It's a haven for criminals to refuge as the outside government cannot touch anything beyond the gates. However, once you go in, it'll cost you to get out. Benjamin befriends with unlikely heroes, each having their personal intentions, attempt to escape the City and find why the City is watched by "angels".

I'm going to try my best to spread the limelight to all four characters, each with their flaws and strength so that they will need to depend on each other to survive (and have an equal share of comic exposure - ramble ramble rabble rabble).

Everyone in the team holds at least a hand gun and a knife.

Benjamin Hayward (32) - Benny, Benji or Ben for short: The "healer" of the team, he's more support than anything else. Because of his unique ability, he's always at the front of the battle unless his teammates need his service. He uses two handguns for the cool factor but a terrible shot, and he also carries two knifes; one's a "nostalgic item" which is never used, and the other is normal hunting knife. Personality: A perverted bastard but a good man at heart.

Riley Sheriden (26) - The team leader. She has very keen hearing because of genetic enhancement provided by the City, and has the natural ability to enhance her strength, speed or reflex for a short period of time. She carries twin-chained mac-10s and a stun knife. Personality: Strict and blunt, but has a soft and touchy side tsun-tsun dere-dere.

Varelle Beran (16) - The powerhouse caster. She is the very few casters who can master and use elemental, energy and eventually summon casting effortlessly. She carries a portable handgun and small folding knife. Personality: A reckless rebel but team cheerleader.

Perryl Favreau (34) - The weapon summoner. Laced all over his body are "contracts" linking to their respective weapon ranging from guns to blades. He can summon them by finishing the contract circle with his body and dismiss them by breaking it. He's mute from an accident so he communicates through sign language or writing. Personality: Protective and heroic (the man Ben wants to be) but cocky.
