Longtail's eyes were closed; blood welled from beneath the swollen lids and spattered over his pale tabby fur. "I can't see! I can't see!" he wailed.

ah i felt bad for longtail. he was only a few moons older than graystripe/dustpelt/sandstorm and yet he had to retire around the age of 3 due to being blinded while hunting.
a scene i've been wanting to do for a while now and i finally sat down last night to flesh it out. i know the overdone warriors challenge is going around, and i kinda wanted to do the opposite and do some underdone warriors scenes, this being one of them.
i took some color + composition inspiration from the amazing Mizu-no-Akira 's work, if you haven't seen her fake screenshots i suggest you go check them out.
