Sometimes it seems like some pieces you do for MTG are more refined brush stroke wise more then others, is it a personal compositional chose or is it just lack of time ?

i'm also curious about this. Is it because this piece would not be showcased anywhere else than on a card, which is fairly small? Or is it only a question of time ?

It would make sense because in terms of depth, fine details would be lost so it would be redundant to waste time on detail I guess.
Having deadlines wouldn't help either I'm sure lol.
