Description
Now we're moving away from Thomas' Branchline and are now heading from Wellsworth to Brendam. Children, welcome to the Brendam Branch, or otherwise known as Edward's Branchline.

Let's start with Edward himself. Edward is almost the oldest engine in the entire island, and that's no joke. He has worked on Sodor even before the North Western Railway was formed. However, over the years he's begun to wear out, which makes him a little weak compared to the other engines. Although he made be called old, slow, and out-of-date, he always shows the others that he can still push on. Edward is a kind soul, he is always willing to teach young engines, and can get stern at times when they're acting up. Sodor just wouldn't be the same without Edward.

Next we have BoCo. BoCo is one of the first diesels to arrive on the railway, and has shown that some diesels can be really nice. BoCo helps along the Brendam Branch with heavy passengers and goods. He's also one of Edward's strongest allies. He can also be seen around the Mainline whenever he is needed. He can be a little temperamental but he is a jolly fellow.

Oh dear, do you hear that? That's the sound of mischief. As Bill and Ben the tank engine twins are probably up to no good once again. Bill and Ben work at the China Claypits along Brendam. They are seen up and down the line with trucks of clay. But when they are not pulling trucks, they instead like to pull tricks, which can lead to others and themselves in trouble. Fortunately, engines like Edward and BoCo are there to discipline the twins when they misbehave. Though they are troublesome, they mean well and are hardworking.

Now we have Brendam's dockside diesel, Salty. Salty loves the sea, and everyone knows it. He always loves to work along the water, bustling up and down the docks, and sometimes even sings his shanties. The trucks love to sing with him, so they barely cause him any trouble. Salty is one of the jolliest diesels on the island. Which can make Cranky, well, cranky at times when talking to him. Many have also speculate that Salty was a pirate in a past life, and it's not hard to see why.

Next is Derek, one of the lesser known diesels on the island. Derek's first days on the island were, turbulent to say the least. His class his quite known for their shotty engines, or as we like to call it "teething troubles". Nevertheless, after helping Bill and Ben, he was soon repaired and brought on to the Brendam Branch. Now he works mostly on maintenance along the line. Keeping the line spic and span.

Last we have Fergus. Fergus is the pride of the cement works, as he has been working there for many decades. He's and old and very formal engine. He always make sure he is doing everything right. And he's not afraid to tell off others when they do anything wrong, which can annoy the others sometimes. However he is still a valuable asset, and his years of experience makes him a perfect engine for teaching others.

The Brendam Branch is one of the most important parts of the railway. As it its the opening to goods and passengers from all over the world. From Brendam docks to the rest of the island. And the engines make sure to keep the branchline in good condition and be really useful.
