Description "Mine" because I love it so, as a creature, as itself. Only now and then does it visit my garden, thus making any vision of it precious to me, like the bloom of a flower. The architecture of the bird stands out in the dim shadow with an exotic nobility long lost to humanity, except in art and epic remembering. The file has been highly rendered with many subtleties of my own devising, but otherwise, it was the right subject, the right light, the right lens, the right camera, and all at the right time, with planning sufficient to include planting the tree four years ago, a native red bud, to create the shady covert so essential to the bird. Brown thrasher, western race, Kansas.

So much detail, I really like what you've done with this photo, it works so well in black and white.

Thanks Erin. Nana doesn't like it, which is usually the kiss of death to me, but maybe she's wrong. Although as I rule that has served me well, one's wife is never wrong.
