She loved its pose, thought it was adorable. Over here, we have red-crested cardinals more than this kind, but it makes her day whenever she sees one of these, even if it's little more than a glimpse. You're a very talented photographer!

I bought a book of Audubon's work, and the influence is beginning to show. This, I think, is the best cardinal shot I've gotten so far. Beginning to wish I had a better camera, because the perfect red still escapes me. But no $ for that. At least I've got the lens, which is the main thing. Good to hear from you as always. I planted my sunflower seeds, by the way.

I've never seen a cardinal in person before, but I feel like you capture their red extremely well, I won't say perfectly, because who am I? I've never seen one myself. I wish you good luck with the sunflower seeds, get many great shots of the finches.
I went outside yesterday, this heat wave is bad, at least the finches are hungry enough to come by, they love the seed, I think I got a few good shots, I also saw a parent Say's Phoebe with their chick, I was so excited, I recognized their song. Chu-weer...chu-weer..

Just looked up the Say's Phoebe. Quite the bird. I live just out of it's range. Perhaps you can photograph it. It pleases me that you are learning the songs of birds, as it will give you great pleasure over your lifetime. Can't wait to see what you end up studying in college. I'm sure you are thinking about it already. Now is a good time for me to assure you that life only gets better as you get older. And you will never loose your love of nature!

It was incredibly low light the other evening, during sunset when they came around, so the shots I got aren't that great, but I'll take a look again once I work on them.
I love animals, birds especially, they bring me such peace, I am so content when I am around them. I already know I will be studying Biology next Summer, I think this Fall I am going full-time, as I need to be, to qualify for the Women's Basketball Team.

It is a most excellent photograph, with nice focus on the eye. The bird seems to be guarding the tomatoes, or whatever they are. There is a mystery worth exploring in the fact that you find "peace" around animals, especially birds. If you are lucky, that would be where your career would lie, as inner peace is a very good thing. I am certain you will excel at any of the sciences you choose, but if you keep an eye on environmentalism, you might save the world, which, of course, I expect you to do. Don't laugh. My expectations are high for you.
