Description This is the eastern edge of the wild prairie in Kansas at dusk, in the December light. I used 50mm so that you would see it as it is, and hopefully, feel it's call. There are buffalo beyond those low hills. On my next trip here, I will hike in and find them for you.

Thanks, Bonnie, your comment means a lot to me. The prairie is hard to capture, especially in a square, and your encouragement in the effort will harden my resolve to keep trying. As you will note, I did write a critique on your photo of the surfer, because I was so impressed by it. Hence you know how much I respect your opinion as a photographer, so thanks.

Very much why I like living within a mile walk of the Lake Ontario shore and Irondequoit Bay outlet. I need to rig up portage wheels for my canoe.
