Description
I started the Unicorn cosplay project 2 years ago and met up with a series of unfortunate events with it. All these events led me to think of it as the Curse of the Unicorn. The following are the obstacles that are stopping me to debut my project in the 2 years:I made version 1 of the costume and it is so unstable that it falls apart

I got food poisoning when I tried to debut version 2 of the costume one+ years ago in STGCC 2010

A cat sneaked into my house and damaged some parts of version 2
|
Dropping quality of tapes and stuff made my other parts of version 2 fall apart without me touching them at all

My knee part goes missing when I tried to debut version 3 in Cosplay Mania 11
|
Some parts got damaged when I shifted my home
|
Me and my wife not feeling well when I tried to debut hat it in AFA 2011
|
I lost my body suit (I still cannot find it till today) when I was about to debut it in HAP
|
The red LED lights on my head burned out (Burning hot LED lights!? That is unheard of..) when I brought the costume to HAP
But, I went ahead and debut it in HAP despite the obstacles and broke the curse! It is a shame that the costume is not fully completed...
The Unicorn is a really difficult costume to make because of the lighting. The psychoframe lighting system greatly affected the structure of the costume and I cannot make the Gundam like what I would usually do. Infact, for some parts, the light casings make up the structure of costume...that's the ultimate challenge in Unicorn destroy mode. when making the costume, I also considered long distant travel overseas and therefore the costume is broken down into several small parts which further makes the stability of the costume a challenge. Luckily, I managed to make it with version 3.0... I was so worried that it may fall apart in HAP event....
I am gonna add the details that I have not added and fix some of the lighting in version 3.1.... and hopefully nothing bad happens....

Not for me....but there are quite a lot of "Gundam girls" that did something like that.. but showing their face

somehow all those problems would put a lot of people off on cosplaying a gundam but you pulled it off Great. What will be your next one? Maybe a Obsucre gundam like the Crossbone Gundam or the Gundam X/Double X?

SOmehow Quan[T] dun really appeal to me.... probably because of the lack of action of the Gundam in the movie...

I honestly never grew up with Gundam got hooked when I was younger and Cartoon Network aired the Gundam Wing series. I was hooked on them and actively sought out any series to watch and have been collecting since. Unfortunately some of my DVD's have been stolen when I went over seas in Iraq. and some unfortunately like After War Gundam X hasnt been dubbed for US so i have the series burnt on a Cd in Real player format.

it is true a work of art! im glad you were able to over come such daunting problems. The end result speaks for it self that thing is sic in the best ways. Awesome job. Curse broken so whats next?
