It can be easy in a sense if you buy a costume and just put it on
Thanks again

I know, but never gratifying, I think I will never feel comfortable wearing something you can buy. It feels great when you accomplish something and you get to use it.
I am curious about your builds, I have seen thru your gallery and there is such a great improvement from the first mechas, to this last one. I am assuming you used vacuum-form for the parts? styrene perhaps?

Yeah, I don't like the idea of buying costumes as well. Like you said, the sense of accomplishment is there when I make my own stuff.

I used corrugated plastic and PVC vacuum-form stuff....well...kinda overkill for a cosplay costume and styrene is too expensive.

I was just wondering about the vac form, cuz .. well... man! the armor is really clean! It didnt occurred to me other technique but vac form to achieve that quality. so, basically, you cut every single sheet, glue them together to build the boxes? no frame?

Yup...piece by piece..with precision. The corrugated plastic are strong enough to support the whole structure...so no frame is needed.

I'll say it again: the lighting is damn impressive. Having seen friends ready to rip their hair out trying to wire large numbers of LEDs just on their own, my hat is off.
