I don't know when I am going to finish this so I will just post this WIP here for now. Just the sketch with some base colors. I wanted to have a gray bg - for reasons.This was my original plan for a project for class but I didn't have the time to do what I wanted so now I want to make it for my site.
The steps are being posted on my tumblr account for anyone who is interested. As always sketches, wips, and steps are all posted to my tumblr.
These characters are from my historical fantasy and I think they are bamfs xD
Anyway, I think I will have some real stuff to posted within the next few days.

LOVE them! I really love the changes that have been going on in your coloring... Its really quite something to behold. like the gentle light that touches the one on the bottoms face. The soft glow of the paper cranes is also really well done, I can't wait to see this finished!

Actually this is supposed to be my manga style so I think it will end up looking different from my usual stuff. But what is usual anymore. D: I don't even... I don't know. I think it started with that Tangled fanart and I am not sure if its a good thing. I have a bunch of stuff coming up and I guess we'll see whats going on with me. I'll probably post a journal because I have been feeling sort of... conflicted about it.
Anyway, here is an update although I put it on pause because I need to finish another for a contest thats almost due. [link]

I think your coloring work has been beautiful. I mean, You really make it look painterly and smooth, its all so lovely you know? Is there a particular coloring style you'd want to stick to that makes you feel like what you've done now is unsatisfactory?

I honestly don't know what I want my style to be honey. Somehow sometimes I feel like I am regressing but I don't know. For example, I hate my hair. I think it looks too "painterly" I feel it looked more real and honestly there were times in the past that I felt it came out looking pretty realistic. That's just one instance. Of course, I am not referring to my manga/anime-esque sterf xD
Well there is nothing to keep moving forward and hope that someday I will be satisfied with what I do - at least in a lasting way

Cel shaded hair is difficult. I showed you the pic of Illiya and Hart with her cel shaded hair, it drove me bonkers to even get it that far! Painterly style hair just... looks better.
Your style is recognizable though love! It totally is, I know your art when I see it you know? Experimenting with coloring styles is hard though so I know what you mean >.> Its all practice anyway right?
