Oh I love these "cars", they remind me of my youth when my cousin drove one, but it wasn't half as pretty as this one.

Yes... Those were the days !! I know many people who had this cheap convertable back in the late 70's. They really gave you a holiday feeling in summer when the roof was open...  I must admit that this one is much more beautiful than the ones they drove

And to think, the original engines only had 9 horsepower and a top speed of 40 mph (Later models had 12, 16, 18, 33, or 29... the 33 hp version came out before the 29 hp version, which was the same engine but re-tuned for better fuel efficiency.)

Oh, I could've gone into a lot more detail, but all I'll say is that there were a lot of things on the 2CV (such as the suspension) that were surprisingly sophisticated for their time, while still being simple enough that a farmer could refurbish the suspension dampers with a turkey baster and old kitchen grease...

I like it a lot too ! I think it's a painted 2 cv "charleston".
