One of Melanie and Bethany's schoolmates. This is Juan Pablo Gomez, a student who moved from Mexico to California. Juan is kind-hearted, intelligent, down-to-earth, and a little shy. He's great with animals which is why he lives on a horse ranch and runs his own animal shelter. There are a lot of animals he takes in to care for but there are only three animals(aside from the horses) of which he calls his own, one being his cat Cap of course. The other two are a mouse named Basil(Yes, after Basil of Baker Street) and a tarantula named Maria.
