Nonsense, your style is totes (yes, totes) good. DA suffers for lack of originality, and when there actually is originality afoot, it's usually the bad kind. This isn't one of those cases!
Also, as for the shipping "thing". I don't mind it, I just think it gets way too much play and is used as an excuse for people to churn out nonsense (the bad kind of nonsense).
