My first critique, but somehow I feel that finally I must try the system e.deviantart.com/emoticons/w/w… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Wink)" />First of all, what for I paid attention while browsing works in my devwatch was the vision. I really like the concept and also an intriguing title. The silhouette of a lady on the bridge makes it even more interesting. When I firstly saw this work I thought that perhaps the lady on the bridge is a murderer, but I think that it could be interpreted in many other ways. Maybe the girl in the foreground committed a suicide just while ago?But coming back to the art itself: the composition and tones look very nice. I think that the swan might be a symbol of innocence here. I also like the emotive side of this one.The only one thing which I believe could be done a little better is lighting. I mean sun rays on the top... They're definitely too strong for me, not so soft and delicate like real light, I suppose. But all in all I still think it's a good work, perhaps one of the best in your gallery.

Thanks so much for critiquing! Originally the person on the bridge was supposed to be the murderer yes, but I kind of like your other idea better The swan was meant to be interpreted that way, and as a kind of contrast against what's happened in the image.I totally agree about the lighting, in fact at one point when making it, I actually lowered the opacity, but then changed it back because I thought it wasn't bright enough lol. But looking at it now it does look (especially at the top) overly bright.I will definitely try to work on that for my next one. Thanks again!

I know what you mean, when it comes to my works I'm very indecisive and change many things very often... Sometimes it's hard to judge objectively if it's done good or not. But experimenting and practising is the best way to improve our skills And you're very welcome

I also prefer this one - it's not so in-your-face like tha last one with all characters in plain foreground, subtle is always good in these classical sceneries, I'd say
