I am very fond of this. Probably because I've spent countless hours folding those cranes and other random novel origami things in various science classes over the years. But those days are long gone... Ah, to reminisce.

The hair movement in the first half really makes this for me. Also the way you rendered the eye is top notch. The hatching on the crane also adds really interesting texture to the values, I like it very much.

That crane looks amazing.
Did you base it off anything, or are you just godly at spacial perceptive tasks?
I really dig the eyebrow also.

That paper crane is something else. It very closely resembles a photograph, that's how intensely real it looks. The shading in this piece is to die for.
I've always loved pictures with red strings attaching objects or people, and I really enjoy the way the string here is looped so delicately and naturally. The eye too looks fantastic; so much shine and so well done, even zoomed in like that.

Oh look at that! Absolutely amazing. I am so pleased to have inspired you <3
The loops of string look so natural (shadows are perfect) and the way they criss-cross the two images and overlap the border is just lovely. The red-on-monochrome is also really effective, is it an intentional reference to the notion of the "red strings of fate"? Either way it works beautifully! I love those paper cranes, though I have always failed at origami XD
