A bad quality ref I loved for the light on this dark running horse.Once more digitalizing it changed some shades, some parts look smoother on the original piece
Tried to render what I loved on this one, movement, attitude and light. Hope you'll like it too

He looks very good! I think you caught the movement really well and I can sense a darkness from him, so the attitude is definitely there too

May I ask you to point out what you would change to improve this one? In other words on which aspects should I focus on for improving, taking this one for example? What "hurts" your eyes at first when looking at it with accuracy ?

I'm FINALLY getting round to replying to you 
I've had a really good look and I like this just as it is, I love the light play and the motion. I also know very little about the anatomy of a horse, so that all looks good to me. If I had to look for something to maybe improve on, maybe you could get away with adding a bit more detail and definition to the face, but other that this, I can't see anything else at all
