I HAD to make something for Halloween. It turned out to be something for The Legend Of Zelda: Majora's Mask as well -- today is its birthday. (Plus, the girl is my Legend Of Zelda OC, Valerie.) Ah, such a wonderful game, a standout among standouts, truly unique, and is still, fourteen years after its release, being talked about.

Well, anyway, I hope this is satisfying for a bit of Halloween creepiness. I know I'll be playing Majora's Mask over again today, and up to Fright Night.

...Of course, if I really wanted to scare myself, I could play 'Five Nights At Freddy's'. But then, I don't think I'd make it....

I'm not going to bother to explain this picture's meaning, because I feel that I may spoil some things for my Majora fanfic. (And LORD KNOWS that's a long way away.)
But in actually creating it....
I hope any of you looking at this appreciate how I drew, colored, and painted each of the dragon-skeleton's bones.... I was glad to actually get a painting done, but...I guess I prefer to work with the living. I wasn't too sure about the background at first, but I wound up making something that looks a little like old, dirty parchment. (Even having a few blood stains.) I drew Valerie and the dragon skeleton on two different pages, so that I could more easily position them in relation to one another. Plus, I could manipulate the opacity of the skeleton's layers. And I may have been working hard lately to make paintings where I can remove their lineart bases, but for this I wanted a bit of that texture, that gritty-ness....
I had actually made these drawings two years ago, when I was last on a Zelda high. I just decided to paint them now, for Halloween and the anniversary of Majora's Mask's release.

Note: If possible, it is suggested that you listen to the track Sharp's Curse from the Majora's Mask soundtrack. It fueled me in creating this.

EDIT: Oh, jeeze, with my knowledge of skeletons today, I'm rather disappointed in this...
