and it all started out as a project for school...well, in my Character Design class (i love it!) our first project was to take a heroic or famous person in history and create a character design based on him/her... ecstatic i am... so, for mine, i chose to do Miyamoto Musashi... a little hard to do, cause there are no real documented pictures of him, only Japanese prints, so i had to be a bit creative... was mucho fun... this is just a rough sketch that kinda got outta hand... i liked the sketch so much, i had to color it, then added more and more and it just kinda came to this... for those who dont know, Musashi was a legendary samurai who perfected the twin sword fighting style... not sure what the technical name for that is though... so ya, sketch to finished project... sweet... i really wanna do another piece, for fun not school, of Musashi fighting his greatest rival, Sasaki Kojiro in their epic battle at GanryΕ« Island... but thats another art piece for another time...
oh, and if the Kanji doesnt say "Miyamoto Musashi" which im pretty sure it does, looked it up and all that, my bad

I'm a havin' a question in here dudemeister...where is the wooden sword that which Musashi used to beat up people? Because quote me if I'm wrrrrong...but didn't he, at one point, got bored of beating the crap out of people with real swords, and took a wooden sword (a wooden plank, in some battles) to make things more interesting? Being read directly from Go Rin no Sho (The Book of Five Rings), the very man's book...
Beside that long a$$ paragraph which made me write itself due to the immense respect I hold for the one man I believe to be both kickass and real, nice drawing. Hail to the Kensai!!! xD

hehehe... ya, Missel is awesome... kinda funny that your final project for that class was pretty much our first project... awesome... best thing ever? probably not, but it is one of the best for sure
