So yeah, trying to kill this artist block thingy I'm going through, it's not that I don't have inspiration or ideas or anything like that, it's like, I can't draw, like everything is a hassle or something and I just cannot bring myself to finish anything. It also doesn't help that I caught a flu of some sort from my family when they visited. D:Related content

draw with your left hand or both at the same time. Or draw stuff around you compared to just imagination. Β It'll loosen up your skills and your mind

I have tons of ideas, (I have two comics I need to work on.. so far behind) it's just the will to draw isn't there, I'll get halfway through something and then I just don't want to draw at all. It only seems to be with digital drawing though, it's so annoying. Β
I do get proper artist's block some times though, so this info is really helpful. *pins on wall for future reference when all inspiration is lost* :>

Both hands makes you use both your left and right side of your brain making you more... alert? aware? you know. That sort of stuff.
Also, because you're using your less dominant hand, it takes the focus away from being detailed and wondering if your art is 'good',Β which is what happens when you use a rubber a lot. Β In a sense, using your less dominant hand makes your work 'ugly'/ scribbly and untrained compared to using your dominant hand. Meaning that you don't focus on whether it's good or not, but on the task of drawing because it's now difficult and you need to focus.
Not really sure what advice to give about the comics. That's actually why I don't do them anymore, can't keep it up. Β A single illustration can count as a finished work, but (depending on the length of course), a narrative comic can go on for 100s of pages with out being 'finished'.
You really need discipline to keep it up, and a schedule. Β Most online comic artists are popular, not for their artistic talents, but because they can keep a regulated schedule.
Z-Doodler does one-of comics, so same characters, but 1 page for 1 scenario. Β That might help to take the pressure off to do ones like that as opposed to a story that goes on forever.
