Description Agh, I'm still not that great with coloring. This took like three hours longer than I would have liked it to because of all the mistakes I made. But, I'll get better (and hopefully faster) if I keep doing it.

You did great hon, it has a wondeful looseness to it and by that I mean it looks like paint and not a computer program. Which is awesome.

I always find Near really hard to colour because of all that white.

Thank you! I just softened up the edges of the shadows on his skin and that did wonders. This coloring technique involved me abusing how light keeps bouncing off of everything. Meaning that only the edges of shadows are relatively pure but inside of them, are faint traces of light.

Yes, it's a very difficult color scheme to manage. I have to really think about the environment he's in.

I agree, you did really well. White is hard to shade, as it can have pretty much any colour in it

(and I love the pose ^-^ )

PRECISELY! I always have to find a way to make it look not boring you know?

Damn, I loooooooooooooove Near but it's hard to get creative with his color scheme.

yeah, I know what you mean. I haven't done a serious picture of him yet (only several paper children ) but,I do have to say I love the way you colour him. It never ceases to look great!

I love him too. Actually, I'm gonna cosplay him in May at an expo in London. I can't wait

Looks good! I think you picked great colours for his hair. White is so hard to shade...

Thank you! Haha, that last time anybody said that about his hair, I had also used purple as well.
Maybe I should use that as the default color then hmmmmmm

Well, shadows on snow are usually blue or purple, maybe that's why it works so well!

hey, I think you did a pretty good job with the coloring. I'm gonna annoy you with this, but I like the window in the background too. I like the linelessness of it C= What program do you use for coloring? And of course, Near's amazing. Love DeathNote, though L is de best. ^^ Nice job!
