Description I've just noticed in the last panel that there are stretch-marks on Virginia's costume (hanging near her chair) where her breast would be. Now that's a bust line! It's funny because I don't remember putting in that little detail. Ah, the subconscious can be a wicked little thing...

Isn't it great to look back at older work and spot these little bits of detail from way back when. I'm talking about the last panel stretch marks.

It's good looking back because you compare yourself to how you draw now. You probably wouldn't draw a hanging costume like that now because your style has developed, but you remember how you used to draw when you see older work. You remember your old thought processes.

If that makes sense. I love looking at the way I used to do stuff, makes me appreciate what I know now more.

You're absolutely right. Older works definitely let you know how far you've advanced as an artist, although there is a great deal more of spontaneity in older art that vanishes a bit once you've settled into a style and a way of drawing things.

Tis' true, the more you do develop the less spontaneous and the more controlled you become. I have lots of old examples of work styles that I still love but would never attempt to re-do unless it was a revamp.

Seems to be a pretty direct phone call, not very authentic. I, however, haven't seen the connecting pages.

Quite true. Except maybe the secret recipe for Kentucky Fried Chicken. Or where belly button lint comes from.

Re: belly lint.

Well in order for something to be classified somebody has to know it first.

That is a funny little detail to add without knowing, but it does add to it.

and if that number is classified, why do her parents know it?
