This page comes with a bit of great news:"Hi guys!
Josh Eiserike here, writer of "Anyone But Virignia." I'm really thrilled to announce that a short live-action film inspired by "Anyone But Virginia" was just greenlit! I wrote the script and my good friend Ashley Maria will be directing (she won a Director's Guild award for her horror/comedy short "Friday Night Fright"). It will be different from the comic, because what works in a 5-issue series is really hard to make fit into a short film. It'll have more a comedic tone- and things may very well change as Ashley and her crew move closer to production. But as of right now, here's what I'm looking forward to in the movie- Virginia, of course. Lucy. Keith, Gil and Jenny (Keith's blonde girlfriend, she's a very minor character in the books, you'll see more of her in issue 4). Salis. A possible Niagara cameo, but I can't promise that. And a brand-new villain I created just for this movie. It's going to be a lot of fun. The movie will finish production in May, 2011 and hit the short film festival circuit sometime thereafter. Thanks (and I appreciate your honesty). Hmmm...not quite sure. This was drawn a couple of years ago. Maybe I drew them with very buttony noses, then, as opposed to now.

That said, as is pretty much the film making process, the director has final say as to what winds up on screen, not the writer or creators of the comic. The good news is Ashley's a great director and has a ton of good ideas. The movie will be different than the comic, but it's still Virginia's story!

live action! Again, it's going to be very different from the comic-- much more comedic in tone, but hopefully it'll stand alone as a fun short and introduce more people to the story. We'll have updates as they happen...
