How do you get that wonderful edge on each stroke? I could never figure that out...

Do you mean the edges around some the colored areas?
Do you use Paint Tool Sai?
I could tell you how if that's the case!
Above where your layers are displayed, there should be a little tab called 'Paint Effects' If you click that it should drop down and you can select the Fringe effect under the little drop down menu called 'Effects'. The bigger the width is the better you can see it. The opacity of the fringe can be adjusted as well. Sometimes it will show up better with different layer modes. I hope this helps! Sorry to message you back even after the conversation ended! I took a screenshot of my Sai to show you where it is so maybe it would help you out a little better! I'm not sure if we have the same version though so maybe this won't be helpful at all. Here's hoping haha.
