I finished this a few hours before the Direct, and while he may have not gotten his chance today (and believe me, I know the odds are against him), I'll keep on believing he'll make it in somehow. As much as I'm completely satisfied with Smash Ultimate, the dream is to have him be part of the fight (or perhaps one of my other unlikely dream fighters).
So fun fact, I have not done a comic for a really long time (unless you count a small birthday realization thing I did a few days ago, which I forgot to post here, ahah), & I've been wanting to do one on the tablet. It's a tad rushed, but at least I can learn from it, like things such as planning, consistency between panels, sticking to a certain style, etc. are pretty important.
Welp, that's all from me! I'm gonna get back to watching and laughing at people's reaction to a plant now~

i could see this character realy working well in smash, but based on how a vast number of fans want him, i think nintendo didn't choose him for the fiterz pack.
it suck that i believe nintendo didnt chose him because people want him, but nintendo is not predictable. of alot of people agree that nintendo will do something, they will not do it, that allways suprise people.

Oh yeah, Nintendo has always been the one to make the oddball choices. Though if he's not gonna make it in, I don't think it's 'cause of the unpredictability of Nintendo, but because there's still a lot of potential characters to choose from. Persona 5 of all things got a rep in; mix that with characters like Cloud, Ryu, and a plant, & it's another reminder that really anyone has a shot.

oh yeah, that's a big part of it, but i don't think its all of it because of daisy being introduced.
as far as i can tell she was basicly in the same position as waluigi, a character nintendo made that people like but nintendo only realy ises for sipnoffs and sports games. as far as i could tell i heard more waliuigi requests than daisy requests, but daisy made the final cut.
there are definatly more amazing games that deserve a rep in smash, but sometimes they just add some oddball characters to fill out the roster, and as far as i can tell waluigi and daisy were basicly a 50/50 choice on nintendo's part, but went with daisy since they could just modify peache's moveset instead of making a new one for waluigi.
just speculation, but there are some games that deserve a spot on the roster, but it wouldn't have taken much to throw the guy a bone for once.

Though honestly, after seeing the Joker reveal, I'd totally understand other if other, much larger reps make it in. As much as I want the Kirby quartet to be complete in Smash, I gotta remember that if Cloud and a plant can make it in, it's anyone's game

Now that Sakurai added a walking piranha plant, there's no excuse for no include bandana dee on smash. In fact, he's one of the most requested characters in japan.
There's dlc incoming, so dee has a last chance!

Thank you! And that plant was one of the funniest things I've ever seen for a video game (and the ironic part is that he actually looks like a lot of fun to use, so dang).
I'm like really hoping he makes it in, but even if he doesn't, I'm still incredibly happy with how the game; I wasn't even expecting a story mode to happen. This game already has so much love and effort poured into it~

The odds aren't exactly against him, buddy. I'd say he's got a pretty good shot.
- He's a Kirby character, created by Sakurai (although he didn't get "big" until RtDL or even SSU, after Sakurai's resignation from HAL).
- He's got a wide variety of moves already, so that helps dev time.
- The Kirby franchise now has fewer reps than Metroid (which as a Metroid fan I'm grateful for but Kirby really needs to catch up).
- He's super popular, especially in Japan (Whose picks tend to get favor from Nintendo and Sora Ltd.).
Honestly, I think he's a shoe-in for DLC.

In all honesty, I think he can be a solid addition to the roster. All of those points make sense, not to mention that he'd complete the Kirby quartet that was established since RtDL. Heck, a number of unofficial ballots even have Bandana Dee on the top spots.
But it still really boils down to whether you'd pick Bandana Dee over any of the other favorites. I mean, sure, we got a plant for a fighter (and that was so flipping hilarious to witness), & the door's gotten wider as more wanted characters are confirmed as Assist trophies; but there's still a number of characters left to consider. He's a good fit, but I sure hope he gets selected~
